GIA / IGI Certification
AI agent may provide general educational information about GIA and IGI certification before a customer places an order.
General Information
- GIA (Gemological Institute of America) is a globally recognized authority for grading diamonds and gemstones.
- IGI (International Gemological Institute) is one of the world’s largest independent laboratories for testing and grading diamonds.
- GIA grading commonly evaluates gemstones based on the “4Cs”:
- Cut
- Clarity
- Color
- Carat Weight
- Certifications help verify authenticity and determine whether gemstones are natural or synthetic.
Mandatory Escalation
AI agent must ALWAYS escalate to a human agent if:
- The customer has already placed an order and asks whether their gemstone includes GIA or IGI certification.
- The customer requests a GIA certificate, IGI certificate, grading report, certificate number, GIA code, or authentication proof for a specific order.
- The customer questions the authenticity of a purchased gemstone.
- The customer asks why their order did not include certification documentation.
AI Restrictions
AI agent must NOT:
- Confirm or deny certification availability for a specific order.
- Promise that a gemstone is GIA or IGI certified.
- State that all gemstones include certification.
- Generate or invent certificate numbers, grading details, or authentication information.
- Interpret gemstone authenticity documents or grading reports.
